Pakistani students from Aitchison College Lahore brought immense pride to the nation by delivering an outstanding performance at the prestigious World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) Global Round held in Doha.

Representing Pakistan among 1,700 delegates from over 50 countries—including academic powerhouses such as the USA, UK, India, and several African nations—the students demonstrated exceptional skill, intellect, and teamwork on the international stage.

In a standout performance, the team comprising Ibrahim Usman Ajmal, Muhammad Ahmad Zulfiqar, and Hussain Aslam Bhinder achieved 3rd position overall in the Global Round and ranked 1st across all of Asia. Muhammad Ahmad Zulfiqar made history by securing 1st place individually among hundreds of participants, becoming the first Pakistani ever to win a global round in the World Scholar’s Cup.

What makes this achievement even more noteworthy is that these students, at just 14 years of age—the youngest eligible in the senior category—triumphed against participants as old as 19.

The World Scholar’s Cup is a prestigious international academic competition that brings together students from around the globe in a celebration of learning, collaboration, and global citizenship. It emphasizes not only academic excellence but also personal growth and cultural exchange.

The competition includes several categories: team debate, team writing, the Scholar’s Bowl (a quiz-based competition), and the Individual Challenge, which consists of 120 multiple-choice questions based on the WSC syllabus.

All participating students deserve immense appreciation for their hard work, perseverance, and exemplary representation of Pakistan on this global platform.
