During the seminar, heartfelt tributes were paid to Munno Bhai’s literary contributions and his selfless services to humanity. Speakers praised his role as a trailblazer in Urdu literature, journalism, and drama, and highlighted his pivotal role in establishing Sundas Foundation.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, while addressing the audience, said, “Munno Bhai not only raised social awareness through literature and journalism but also set an example of serving humanity through Sundas Foundation. His mission continues to guide us all. I have fond memories of my interactions with him, and I can confidently say he was a great man with a remarkable vision for society.”
He further addressed Khawaja Salman Rafique, stating, “Khawaja Sahib, you have a significant responsibility on your shoulders. To not fulfill this duty with utmost honesty would be an injustice we would surely be held accountable for. I deeply appreciate your efforts, and I am certain of your commitment to the cause. The work being done by Sundas Foundation is commendable, and it deserves the full support of the state. Managing such a large number of patients, maintaining high-cost equipment, and running such a vast network is no small feat. I believe special counters for Sundas Foundation should be established in every hospital, and I have given instructions for the government to adopt this proposal.”
Minister for Specialized Healthcare Khawaja Salman Rafique praised the services of Sundas Foundation and stated, “Munno Bhai dreamed of a society where every individual has access to basic healthcare facilities. Sundas Foundation is turning that dream into a reality with its exemplary work.”
He added, “As an individual, it has been an honor for me to work with Sundas Foundation and Munno Bhai. I am grateful to Muhammad Yaseen Khan, President of Sundas Foundation, and Khalid Abbas Dar for their unwavering dedication. Munno Bhai’s vision and legacy continue to inspire us, and we remain committed to working with the same spirit.”
Senior journalists and columnists, including Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, Arshad Ansari, Mazhar Barlas, Khawar Naeem Hashmi, Mazhar Suharwardy, and Baba Najmi, also addressed the seminar and shared their cherished memories of Munno Bhai.
