Sources familiar with internal developments suggest that the matter had earlier come under review by a regularization committee in January 2024. Further, a three-member committee was reportedly constituted in February 2025 to look into related procedural aspects.

Administrative circles note that while the inquiry is ongoing, the official continues to serve, with an additional administrative portfolio also assigned.

The report being sought is expected to provide clarity on the procedural compliance and recruitment practices involved in the case.
