We may belong to different faiths, but we united as Pakistanis: LCCI SVP Engineer Khalid Usman

LAHORE – Senior Vice President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Engineer Khalid Usman, has said that the strength of Pakistan lies in its diversity and the unity of its people.
He stated this in a meetup with the representatives of Interfaith harmony who visited the SVP at the LCCI office the other day.

Speaking at the conference, Engineer Khalid Usman emphasized that religious differences must never overshadow our national identity, and that all communities—regardless of their beliefs—must be treated as equal stakeholders in the country’s future.
We may belong to different faiths, but we are united by one identity – Pakistan. Our collective mission must be peace, prosperity, and mutual respect, he said. At this critical time in our national journey, it is vital to rise above all kinds of divisions and work hand in hand for a stronger and more harmonious Pakistan.
Engineer Khalid Usman said that mutual understanding and religious tolerance are not only ethical obligations but also necessary ingredients for economic progress and sustainable development. A society built on respect, justice, and inclusivity lays the foundation for a stable and thriving economy, he added.
He also commended the role of the Lahore Chamber in organizing the event and for taking concrete steps to promote interfaith dialogue and national unity. Events like today’s conference serve as platforms to send a clear message to the world that Pakistan stands for peace, diversity, and shared progress, he noted.
The conference was also addressed by Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora, LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad, former LCCI President Muhammad Ali Mian, former Vice President Faheem ur Rehman Saigol, senior political figures including Liaqat Baloch and Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, and Chairman of the LCCI Standing Committee on Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Bishan Singh Bedi.
Engineer Khalid Usman concluded by reaffirming LCCI’s unwavering commitment to promoting a culture of inclusivity and stressed the importance of such efforts for Pakistan’s long-term peace and prosperity.
