LAHORE: In a landmark event, Syed Sajjad Kazmi and his journalist panel achieved a historic victory in the Lahore Press Club 2026 elections, winning widespread acclaim from the media community.

The election was celebrated as a symbol of press freedom, journalist solidarity, and commitment to ethical reporting. Senior journalists and panel members praised the win as a triumph of unity, democracy, and professional integrity.
During the celebratory event, provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar announced that after the allocation of Journalist Colony Phase 2, government schools and women’s colleges would be established within 100 days to benefit media families.
Anchorpersons Zubeida Anwar Khan and Shahin Work hosted the event, emphasizing mutual respect, recognition of achievements, and continued efforts for journalists’ welfare, protection, and freedom of expression.
The victory not only strengthened journalists’ collective voice but also set a new benchmark for cooperation, trust, and progress in Pakistan’s media community.
