LAHORE: A seminar titled “Impact of Israeli Aggression on Iran and Pakistan’s Role,” was held at the Falcon Club of Pakistan Air Force Housing Society.
The event brought together prominent military, political, social, and journalistic figures to discuss the recent geopolitical shifts.
Muhammad Mehdi, a foreign affairs expert and renowned analyst, clarified that Indian aggression on Pakistani soil was a “misunderstanding” orchestrated to bolster India-Israeli expansionism, assuming Pakistan lacked defence capabilities. He lauded the leadership of the Pakistan Army for thwarting these designs. He observed that Iran was initially taken by surprise but then received “divine help” that turned the tide. He noted Iran’s focus on missile development over its air force in past years. Mehdi added that Iran’s counter-strike came 36 hours later, and Pakistan’s support across various forums has opened Iran’s eyes to its true friends and foes, evidenced by chants of gratitude for Pakistan in the Iranian parliament.
Every Pakistani’s heart was filled with emotions when we heard the beautiful slogans of “Pakistan, thank you, thank you” during the speech of Iranian President Masoud Peshkerian in the Iranian Parliament. At that time, every Pakistani was saying that we love Iran and Iranians are our brothers, so dear brothers, there is no need to thank us.
Safdar Ali Khan of Sarzameen Forum stated that “Israeli aggression against Iran has provided a fragmented Muslim Ummah an opportunity to unite.”
Retired Brig Farooq Hamid lauded Iran’s “unblemished leadership” and its people for their robust response to Israeli aggression.
Retired Air Vice Marshal Sajid Habib said that Israel had full US backing, similar to India’s past aggression against Pakistan with US and Israeli support. Nazir Hussain, President of Pakistan-China Chamber of Commerce and a former diplomat, warned that with US support, Israel would prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power, and cautioned that an atomic bomb could potentially be used against Iran, similar to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
