LAHORE – The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday hosted a seminar on the “Digitalization of Industry and E-Commerce,” presided over by LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad while Provincial Minister for Local Government and Community Development Zeshan Rafiq was the Chief Guest.
Former LCCI President Muhammad Ali Mian, Executive Committee Members Aamir Ali, Ahad Amin Malik, Syed Salman Ali, Aamna Randhawa and Sheikh Muhammad Fayyaz also spoke on the occasion. The Seminar was organized in collaboration with Nomad’s Tech.

While expressing gratitude to Nomad’s Tech, Mian Abuzar Shad appreciated their valuable contributions to advancing digital solutions in Pakistan. He said that the importance of digitalization in industries and the growing relevance of e-commerce cannot be overstated. This seminar is a step toward empowering businesses to adapt to modern trends.
Mian Abuzar Shad underscored the necessity of equipping entrepreneurs, both new and established, with the tools and knowledge to successfully transition their operations to digital and e-commerce platforms.
He expressed satisfaction on the significant rise in Pakistan’s e-commerce sector, with platforms such as daraz.pk, foodpanda.com and zameen.com which are achieving remarkable success. These advancements reflect a promising trajectory for Pakistan’s digital economy.
The LCCI President praised the Government of Pakistan for its proactive approach to enhancing the e-commerce ecosystem. Initiatives such as the introduction of an e-commerce policy framework and the entry of global players like Alibaba and Amazon have opened new avenues for local businesses to access global markets.
He said that Pakistan’s e-commerce sector is expanding at an annual rate of approximately 6%, with the market volume projected to reach $6.7 billion by 2029.
Mian Abuzar Shad expressed optimism that the seminar would further accelerate the adoption of e-commerce among local businesses. He emphasized that insights shared by experts during the event would help entrepreneurs transition seamlessly to digital platforms, ensuring their success in competitive markets.
The seminar featured a detailed presentation by Mr. Khurram Khalid, CEO of Nomad’s Tech, who elaborated on the transformative impact of digital solutions on industries.
The active participation of provincial leaders and business experts made the seminar a resounding success, setting a strong foundation for digital transformation and e-commerce advancement in Pakistan.
The Provincial Minister Zeshan Rafiq gave a detailed briefing to the participants of the seminar about efforts of Punjab Government aimed at economic progress and prosperity.
