According to the Punjab Sahulat Bazaar Authority (PSBA), the service is operating through 46 Sahulat Bazaars and has so far completed more than 312,000 deliveries. The authority says prices of 13 essential items under the project have been set below district-notified rates, allowing consumers to save up to seven percent, while delivery charges are waived.
Orders can be placed through a mobile application available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The range of products includes vegetables and fruits such as potatoes, onions, tomatoes, garlic, apples, bananas, lemons, and watermelon, as well as staples like gram pulses, gram flour, wheat flour, and sugar.
Officials say the project has generated estimated consumer savings of more than Rs110 million. The government has indicated that the service may be extended to additional cities in phases, depending on operational capacity and demand.
Some consumers have welcomed the convenience and lower prices, while others have raised concerns about service coverage and availability during peak hours. Authorities say they are working to improve delivery timelines and ensure consistent supply across all participating locations.
