LAHORE— In line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, a grand and vibrant Independence Day celebration was organized at the Child Protection Bureau under the supervision of Chairperson Sarah Ahmad. Provincial Minister for Sports, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, graced the event as the chief guest.

The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the national flag, jointly performed by Chairperson Sarah Ahmad and Provincial Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar. This was followed by the cake-cutting ceremony with the children residing at the Bureau. The children further brightened the celebrations with national songs, speeches, and captivating tableaus. Tributes were paid to the Founding Father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, and the leaders of the Pakistan Movement.

Addressing the gathering, Provincial Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that Independence Day reminds us of the struggle and sacrifices through which we achieved this freedom. Today, we must pledge to provide our children with a safe, prosperous, and bright future. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab government is utilizing all resources to protect the rights and welfare of children. The sacrifices of our armed forces and martyrs will always be remembered, as it is because of them that we breathe in the air of freedom today.

In her address, Chairperson Sarah Ahmad stated that on 14th August 1947, with the grace of Allah and the sacrifices of our leaders and elders, we attained an independent homeland. We pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal, the leaders of the Pakistan Movement, and our martyrs. These children are the future of Pakistan, and through education and hard work, they must bring pride to the country. We pledge to keep alive the spirit of patriotism, adherence to law, unity, faith, and sacrifice.
