KARACHI (Web Desk) – Pakistan and Zimbabwe women’s teams will lock horns in a T20 series starting Tuesday in Karachi, with the trophy already unveiled ahead of the opening clash.
Both sides held practice sessions at the National Stadium Karachi, where the official ceremony for the trophy unveiling also took place.
Addressing the media, Pakistan captain Fatima Sana said the team carried positive momentum from the ODI series, where players delivered strong performances.
She added that encouragement from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari had boosted team morale.
The skipper noted that players were strictly following fitness and diet plans provided by coaches, while also ensuring adequate rest ahead of major upcoming events.
Fatima Sana emphasised that the squad was focused on improving weaknesses, particularly while building on its strong bowling unit, and highlighted efforts to give emerging players a chance at the international level.
