LAHORE — The Integrated Marketing Committee (IMC) of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) organized a seminar titled “The Power of Storytelling: A Strategic Tool for Engaging Audiences”, highlighting how purposeful narratives can transform marketing into a tool for social good.
The event brought together leading nonprofit and business leaders who shared how their organizations have used storytelling to create awareness, inspire action, and drive change.
Pink Ribbon Pakistan CEO Omer Aftab narrated the organization’s struggle against breast cancer, emphasizing the role of stories in breaking taboos around women’s health. Amjad Wattoo, Co-Founder of The Noor Project, shed light on initiatives for marginalized communities, while Farhan Ahmed, CEO of the Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation, highlighted how personal stories of young cardiac patients drive support for life-saving surgeries.
Dr. Shahid Soroya, Founder of Tabeer Foundation and Director General of the Pakistan Institute of Education, discussed how storytelling is reshaping the discourse on education reforms, while Dr. Shahid A. Zia of the Lahore Mental Health Association stressed the importance of personal narratives in combating stigma around mental health.
Concluding the seminar, Muhammad Tariq Asmat, Founder & CEO of MAP Pakistan and Convenor IMC (LCCI), explained how storytelling strengthens brand identity and builds sustainable movements.
The event was attended by prominent professionals including Masood Ali Khan, Khalid Chishti, Imran Amjad Khan, Ambreen Askari, Sohail Irfan, Shahid Sohail Rana, Muhammad Usman, Aamir Raza, Syed Attique Ahmad, Asim Riaz, Jibran Ghani, Noman Moin Ud Din, Anum Mir, Iqra Sadaqat, Mumtaz Khan, Irfan Ehsan, Faraz Ahmad, and Imran Haider among others.
IMC Co-Convenor Dr. Saleha Waqar Butt said the session reaffirmed that “marketing is most powerful when it is purposeful,” stressing that the committee would continue to create platforms where impactful stories inspire collective progress.
