The newly elected office-bearers stressed that Pakistanโ€™s growing global importance, improving economic indicators, and investor confidence highlight the need to embed public-private partnership into national policy. They assured members that LCCI will lead efforts to foster collaborative frameworks, industrial modernization, skilled workforce development, and export diversification.

President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol emphasized that countries such as Turkey, China, Singapore, and Malaysia achieved record progress by integrating the private sector into policymaking. He said that Pakistan can achieve faster GDP growth, attract investment, and create millions of jobs by adopting a similar approach. Highlighting positive trends, he noted that the stock market has crossed 164,000 points, foreign exchange reserves stand at $19.7 billion, and GDP has surpassed $411 billion with improved growth in FY 2024-25.

Senior Vice President Tanveer Ahmed Sheikh underlined that engaging the private sector in tax reforms, energy policy, and reducing the cost of doing business will accelerate development. He pointed out that more than 70% of global infrastructure projects are completed through public-private partnerships.

Vice President Khurram Lodhi said LCCI will focus on enhancing Pakistanโ€™s trade footprint globally by boosting exports, attracting foreign investment, and fostering innovation through stronger ties between the public and private sectors.

Outgoing President Mian Abuzar Shad presented a detailed performance review of LCCIโ€™s past year, while the Annual General Meeting was attended by executive committee members, former presidents, trade body leaders, and market representatives.
