CCPO reviews security measures and crime control strategy in Civil Lines and City divisions

LAHORE, Dec 11: Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana presided over a performance review meeting of the Civil Lines and City Divisions at his office on Wednesday. The meeting reviewed the overall law and order situation, crime prevention measures and matters pertaining to public service delivery.

The CCPO directed that the security of Chinese nationals and other foreign residents be further strengthened. He ordered that combing operations in identified hotspot areas be carried out regularly and without interruption. He also instructed officers to keep a strict watch on facilitators of criminal elements and ensure indiscriminate action against them.

Mr Kamyana emphasised that effective and result-oriented measures were essential for the complete eradication of drug peddling. He ordered the police to expedite the arrest of proclaimed offenders and launch strict action against individuals possessing illegal weapons. He further directed that motorcycle thefts be curtailed through proactive policing and advance preventive measures, especially during major events.

 

The CCPO urged the police to activate Mohalla Committees and “Thikri Pehra” to prevent incidents of burglary. He instructed supervisory officers to remain available at their offices late into the night and ensure timely relief to the citizens. He also stressed the need to improve the quality of investigation.

 

DIG (Administration) Imran Kishwar, DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Raza, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, SPs and ASPs of both divisions, Circle Officers, SHOs and Investigation In-Charges attended the meeting.
