Addressing the meeting, the CCPO emphasized that foolproof security must be ensured for the Chehlum and the Urs events. He directed that incidents of one-wheeling and aerial firing must not occur on Aug 14 under any circumstances.

The CCPO said that the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), designed to assess police performance, should be implemented effectively. The improved performance would enhance the overall image and credibility of the police department, he said.

Reiterating to curb drug abuse and gambling, he emphasized the need to prevent motorcycles theft. He suggested that designated parking spots be identified in commercial areas to help prevent the theft of motorcycles and other vehicles.

Highlighting the importance of modern policing, the CCPO urged officers to make full use of advanced information technology in case investigations. Similarly, police officers must play an active role in ensuring relief for the oppressed, he added.

The meeting was attended by DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Raza, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, SP (Security) Abdul Wahab, SPs, ASPs, Circle Officers, SHOs, and Investigation In-Charges of Civil Lines and City Divisions.
