By Commerce Reporter

LAHORE: Khadim Hussain, Vice Chairman of the Founders Group, member of the Board of Directors of the Pakistan Stone Development Company, Senior Vice President of the Ferozepur Road Board, and former member of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has said that the spirit of Bunyan-un-Marsoos continues to serve as a powerful foundation for Pakistan’s unity, resilience, and long-term progress.

In a detailed statement marking one year since Pakistan’s decisive defensive operation carried out under the spirit of Bunyan-un-Marsoos, Khadim Hussain described the moment as a defining chapter in the country’s contemporary history. He emphasized that the operation was not merely a demonstration of military strength but a reflection of collective national will, discipline, and cohesion.

“Bunyan-un-Marsoos represents the idea of a solid structure—one where every brick is firmly united with the other,” he said. “This concept came to life during a critical period when the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder, showing the world that Pakistan is capable of defending its sovereignty with unity and resolve.”

He paid rich tribute to the leadership of Syed Asim Munir and the armed forces of Pakistan for their professionalism, courage, and unwavering commitment. According to Khadim Hussain, their swift and decisive response not only neutralized threats but also reinforced Pakistan’s standing as a strong and capable nation.

“The bravery and discipline demonstrated by our armed forces are a beacon of inspiration,” he remarked. “Their sacrifices are deeply embedded in our national consciousness and will continue to guide future generations.”

Khadim Hussain also acknowledged the perspective shared by Faheem ur Rehman Saigol, who termed the anniversary a defining milestone reflecting unity and resilience. He agreed that the spirit of Bunyan-un-Marsoos extended far beyond the battlefield, resonating across every segment of society.

He noted that during that critical time, citizens from all walks of life displayed extraordinary patience, solidarity, and commitment. “This unity was not limited to any one institution; it was a collective response of the entire nation,” he said. “It proved that when Pakistanis stand united, they can overcome even the most daunting challenges.”

Turning to the economic dimension, Khadim Hussain emphasized that national security and economic stability are deeply interconnected. He said that a secure and stable environment is essential for attracting investment, promoting industrial growth, and ensuring sustainable economic development.

“A strong economy is the backbone of a strong nation,” he stated. “Without economic resilience, even the strongest defense systems cannot ensure long-term stability. The spirit of Bunyan-un-Marsoos must therefore be translated into economic unity and cooperation.”

He highlighted the role of the business community as a key driver of national progress. According to him, entrepreneurs, industrialists, and investors must work together to strengthen Pakistan’s economic foundation by promoting innovation, increasing exports, and creating employment opportunities.

Khadim Hussain praised the resilience of Pakistan’s business sector over the past year, noting that despite economic challenges, inflationary pressures, and global uncertainties, the private sector has continued to contribute to national development.

“Our business community has shown remarkable determination,” he said. “Even in difficult times, our industrialists and traders have kept the wheels of the economy moving. This resilience reflects the same spirit of unity and perseverance that defines Bunyan-un-Marsoos.”

He further stressed the importance of institutional strength and governance reforms. He called for greater transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public sector institutions, stating that strong governance is essential for building public trust and ensuring long-term national stability.

“Institutions are the pillars of any nation,” he said. “To build a resilient Pakistan, we must strengthen these pillars through consistent policies, effective reforms, and a commitment to good governance.”

Khadim Hussain also paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country. He described them as the true embodiment of patriotism and courage, whose sacrifices have ensured the safety and security of the nation.

“We honour our martyrs with the deepest respect,” he said. “Their sacrifices are beyond measure, and their legacy will continue to inspire us to work for a stronger and more united Pakistan.”

He emphasized that remembering these sacrifices is not just a moral obligation but also a guiding principle for national progress. According to him, the nation must ensure that the values of sacrifice, unity, and resilience are passed on to future generations.

Highlighting the importance of economic reforms, Khadim Hussain urged policymakers to focus on creating a business-friendly environment that encourages investment and innovation. He stressed the need for simplifying regulations, improving infrastructure, and enhancing access to finance for small and medium enterprises.

He also called for a renewed focus on export-led growth, stating that increasing exports is essential for strengthening Pakistan’s economy and reducing reliance on external borrowing. “We must explore new markets, improve product quality, and adopt modern technologies to compete effectively in the global economy,” he said.

Khadim Hussain noted that organizations like the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry play a crucial role in supporting the business community and advocating for policies that promote economic growth. He said that collaboration between the public and private sectors is essential for achieving national objectives.

Looking ahead, he expressed optimism about Pakistan’s future, stating that the challenges faced over the past year have also created opportunities for growth and self-reliance. He urged all stakeholders to learn from these experiences and work together to build a stronger and more prosperous nation.

“The spirit of Bunyan-un-Marsoos must guide us in every sphere of life,” he said. “Whether it is national defense, economic development, or social cohesion, unity and collective effort are the keys to success.”

He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to contributing to Pakistan’s progress through active engagement with the business community and support for national initiatives. He emphasized that this anniversary is not just a moment of reflection but a call to action for all Pakistanis.

“Let us honour our heroes, strengthen our institutions, and work together to build an economy that reflects the true potential of Pakistan,” Khadim Hussain said. “By embracing the values of Bunyan-un-Marsoos, we can ensure a future defined by stability, prosperity, and strength.”

With a message of hope and determination, he urged the nation to remain united and focused on its goals. “The journey ahead may be challenging, but with unity, discipline, and resilience, there is no obstacle we cannot overcome,” he concluded.
