The cast of Bullah, released this Eidul-Fitr, recently appeared on Tabish Hashmi’s special transmission, offering behind-the-scenes insights into the making of the film and their experiences working together.
During the show, host Tabish Hashmi asked Sara Loren if she had any grievances with her co-stars. Responding candidly, Loren spoke about lead actor Shaan Shahid, noting that his serious nature can sometimes create a tense atmosphere on set.
She remarked that many people feel intimidated around him and suggested that he could work on making the environment more comfortable. Despite this, Loren acknowledged his positive side, describing him as helpful and personally very kind towards her.
Co-star Naima Butt also weighed in on the discussion, emphasizing that filmmaking is ultimately a team effort. She highlighted the importance of fostering a supportive environment, particularly for newcomers, including those from theatre backgrounds or those still learning the craft.
Butt further pointed out that insecurity and jealousy should not hinder collaboration or the growth of others within the industry.
The conversation turned lighthearted when the host asked director Shoaib Khan about his own complaints. Khan jokingly mentioned Imran Khan, prompting laughter and playful banter from the host.
Directed by Shoaib Khan, Bullah has drawn significant attention since its Eid release, both for its scale and its reception. The film, set in Punjab, follows a modern-day hero battling corruption and injustice.
As one of the few Punjabi-language films to hit cinemas in recent years, Bullah has generated excitement among audiences eager to see a revival of regional cinema.
