LAHORE: PIA’s pre-Hajj operation concluded as more than 42,000 pilgrims has transported to the Holy Hijaz through 147 flights.

The operation, which began on April 29, continued until the night of May 31. A total of 147 Hajj flights were operated, through which 42,400 pilgrims were transported to the Holy Hijaz.
These flights include 35,000 government pilgrims, 4,000 private pilgrims and more than 3,000 pilgrims left behind by other airlines during the closure of the country’s airspace.
The regularity ratio of PIA’s Hajj flight schedule was more than 90 percent. According to a PIA spokesperson, PIA’s post-Hajj operation will now begin from June 10, God willing.
