Ammar Aqib Ali has brought pride to department by sacrificing his life in line of duty: CCPO

LAHORE – The funeral for Lahore Police’s martyred Constable Ammar Aqib Ali was offered at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh today. Constable Ammar Aqib Ali was posted at the Investigation Wing of the Factory Area Police Station.

The constable sustained severe injuries from high-voltage electric wires during a raid when the suspect Asif resisted arrest. Despite receiving treatment at the burn unit of Jinnah Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
The funeral was attended by CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana, DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Raza, DIG (Operations) Muhammad Faisal Kamran, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed and other senior officers. The CCPO along with a smartly turned-out contingent of Lahore Police, paid homage to the martyred constable and laid a floral wreath on his coffin.
Bilal Siddique Kamyana expressed condolences to the bereaved family and said that Ammar Aqib Ali has brought pride to the department by sacrificing his life in the line of duty. He added that officers and jawans who lay down their lives in the line of duty are the pride of the police force and Ammar Aqib Ali’s sacrifice will not go in vain. He also affirmed the department’s responsibility to ensure the welfare of the martyr’s family.
Constable Ammar Aqib Ali hailed from Jhalkay village, Kahna Nau. He is survived by his wife and a son. He joined the police force on June 26, 2021.
