This was stated by CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana in a statement issued today. He emphasized that local and foreign players, team officials and cricket fans were provided foolproof security.
Bilal Siddique Kamyana added that the officers and staff of the Lahore Police have been deployed to ensure the security of PSL matches. He directed supervisory officers to maintain coordination with the PCB, district administration and other line depts to ensure that security SOPs are fully implemented.
During the PSL matches, Dolphin Squad, PRU and other police teams will ensure effective patrolling around players’ residences, routes and stadium. He also mentioned the continuous monitoring of key points through Punjab Safe Cities Authority and other control rooms to ensure maximum security.
Furthermore, Bilal Siddique Kamyana stressed the importance of maintaining uninterrupted traffic flow and ensuring a proper parking plan. He also directed that police staff deployed at duty points should remain highly alert.
According to Lahore Police spokesman, the PSL 10 qualifier match between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators was played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore on Wednesday. The qualifiers, eliminators and final matches of PSL 10 will be held in Lahore, he added.
