LAHORE: Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, attended the 26th Annual Convocation of the College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) as the Chief Guest.

On this occasion, Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan warmly congratulated the graduating students and stated that the youth are the bright future of Pakistan.
Expressing grave concern over the regional situation, Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said that there is a serious threat of war in the country, and India is creating war hysteria. He stated that, according to the Government of Pakistan, India may launch an attack within the next 36 to 48 hours. India is preparing to attack Pakistan for nefarious purposes, but the entire nation stands ready to defend the sacred soil of the country.
Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan declared that every son, daughter, mother, father, teacher, student, and citizen will stand as a fortified wall. The Pakistani nation understands the sanctity of La ilaha illallah. What does Pakistan mean? La ilaha illallah — this very ideology is the foundation and unity of our nation. Every Pakistani is imbued with the spirit of martyrdom.
Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan further stated that Pakistan is a responsible state and has already called for a transparent investigation. The Director General of ISPR has provided clear evidence of India’s acts of terrorism. India is inciting infiltration and subversive activities in Pakistan. The Modi government is stoking anti-Pakistan sentiments during the elections and making baseless allegations against Pakistan for political purposes.
He further said that Pakistan is a nuclear power, and in the event of a nuclear war, the Middle East would be deprived of sunlight for 25 years. The land would become barren for 50 years due to nuclear exposure. If Pakistan is harmed, every citizen will sacrifice their life, wealth, family, and children.
Discussing the economic aspect, he stated that the hotel, tourism, and commerce sectors are the backbone of the national economy. The hoteling and tourism industry in Pakistan is rapidly growing. The Government of Punjab is undertaking determined steps to promote technical education.
Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan advised the youth that if they work with hard work, sincerity, and honesty, a glorious future awaits them.
