KARACHI – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will remain closed on hursday, May 1, 2025, in observance of Labour Day, a public holiday officially declared by the Government of Pakistan.

The closure applies to all offices of the central bank across the country. Labour Day is celebrated annually to honor the contributions and rights of workers, and the public holiday is marked by various events, seminars, and rallies organized by labor unions and civil society.
Normal banking operations will resume on Friday, May 2, 2025.
