LAHORE – Acting on the directives of DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza, the Investigation Police launched a decisive crackdown against criminal elements, leading to the arrest of two key members of the notorious Yahya Theft Gang.

In a major operation led by Asif Ali, In-Charge Investigation of Model Town Police Station, the gang leader Yahya Mushtaq and his accomplice Tanveer Basheer were apprehended. The suspects were known for breaking into parked vehicles, stealing mobile phones, cash, and other valuables.
According to police officials, the suspects were found in possession of several stolen mobile phones, important documents, passports, illegal weapons, and Rs. 2 million in cash. The investigation team stated that the duo has confessed to committing multiple thefts across various areas of Lahore.
SP Investigation Model Town Dr. Ayaz Hussain revealed that the prime suspect, Yahya Mushtaq, has a criminal history with 108 prior cases of theft and robbery. He confirmed that the arrests were made using CCTV footage and human intelligence.
SP Ayaz further assured that a strong case file (challan) would be prepared against the culprits to ensure strict legal action and exemplary punishment.
DIG Investigation Syed Zeeshan Raza vowed that criminal elements would be dealt with iron hands and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of citizens.
In recognition of the successful operation, SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed announced appreciation certificates for the police team.
