LAHORE – In a significant breakthrough, Lahore Investigation Police have arrested four suspects involved in a brazen act of violence in the Sundar area, where multiple gunshots were fired at a civilian’s vehicle, injuring several family members. The swift action came after DIG Investigation Lahore, Syed Zeeshan Raza, took immediate notice of the incident and directed the formation of a special police team under the supervision of SP Sadar Investigation.

According to the Investigation Police, the arrested suspects—identified as Murtaza alias Pappu, Ali Murtaza, Tahir, and Rustam—were involved in the armed attack, which was reportedly motivated by personal enmity. The victims included senior citizen Haji Nawaz, his wife, son, brother, and two security guards, all of whom sustained injuries. The family was returning home from a wedding event when the gunmen ambushed their vehicle.
DIG Syed Zeeshan Raza stated that the arrests were made using a combination of advanced technology and human intelligence. He emphasized that law enforcement agencies would deal with criminal elements with an iron hand and ensure justice is delivered through a strong police-prosecution partnership.
The Investigation Police and Operations Wing worked in close coordination to apprehend the suspects and recover weapons used in the attack. The suspects have been taken into custody, and further investigations are underway.
In recognition of the effective and timely operation, SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed announced commendation certificates for the police team involved in the case. DIG Zeeshan Raza reiterated the commitment of the Lahore Police to protect the lives and property of citizens and assured that no compromise would be made on law and order.
The arrest of the suspects sends a clear message that criminal activities will not be tolerated, and justice will be served.
