LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of the Roman Catholic Church. In his condolence statement, he said that Pope Francis was a great spiritual leader who promoted peace, brotherhood, and interfaith harmony across the world.

He added, “Pope Francis was a symbol of humanity, love, and interreligious harmony. His services will always be remembered.”
Ramesh Singh Arora further expressed complete solidarity with the Christian community of Pakistan during this time of mourning, stating, “We stand with them in this hour of grief and share their sorrow as our own.”
He went on to say that the passing of Pope Francis is a global tragedy and that he was a strong and unwavering voice for the rights of religious minorities—a voice that will continue to echo for generations.
