LAHORE: A meeting of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) Standing Committee on Transport was held under the convenership of Nabeel Tariq to discuss the pressing issues faced by transporters.

The committee members raised concerns regarding challenges posed by Customs, the Deputy Commissioner’s office, police harassment, the National Highway Authority (NHA), and illegal fines imposed by wardens and other government departments.
Prominent participants in the meeting included M. Waqar, Ijaz Butt, Syed Ahmad Bukhari, Khamis Imran, Nabeel Mehmood, Tariq, Malik Irfan Sultan, Mirza Iqbal Baig, Zahid Basir, Ch. Yousaf, and Ijaz Khan.
The members deliberated on potential solutions and emphasized the need for swift action to address transporters’ grievances. They urged the authorities to ensure a more transparent and efficient system to facilitate the transport sector, which plays a crucial role in economic growth.
