LAHORE: Former governor and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) South Punjab President Punjab Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mehmood expressed his deep dissatisfaction over the policies and governance of the federal government.
He emphasized that ensuring the rule of law in the country is the most important need of the hour. The impression of declaring any person out of the law is unacceptable, and national development is not possible without taking drastic measures to eradicate corruption and corruption.

He expressed these views during a meeting with Rana Mohammad Wait, general secretary of PPP District Bahawalnagar at the Lahore Race Club, where Abdul Qadir Shaheen, Chief Coordinator South Punjab were also present. He said that the absence of an ineffective strategy and consultation process of the government is causing the problems of the people further. If the concerned parties were consulted in important matters, such as the media and digital media representatives were taken in confidence in the Pika Act, the government could get better results.
Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood made it clear that the PPP provided support in the government while maintaining democratic traditions, but not only the government’s consultation in matters is not only increasing public issues but also damaging the credibility of the government. – He said that it would be a major mistake to consider the democratic struggle of the PPP as a weakness, as this party always keeps public service and national development as the axis of its politics.
Talking about the issues of South Punjab, he said that the PPP’s commitment to solve the problems facing the people of the region is irrelevant. MPs and MNAs from southern Punjab are highlighting the region’s problems on the assembly forums. He said that the PPP wants the people of South Punjab to provide quality education, employment and better opportunities to the people of South Punjab, especially the younger generation. He assured that the struggle for making southern Punjab a separate province would continue as per the long -standing desire of the people.
He further said that PPP leadership, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President Asif Ali Zardari are working day and night to get out of the economic crisis facing the country and provide relief to the people. He said that in the current economic situation, the poor and the working class are being badly affected, and the government must facilitate the people through immediate steps. Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood called on all political parties to backed the differences by preferring the national interest and adopt a joint strategy to overcome the challenges facing the country.
