LAHORE Patron-in-Chief of the PIAF-Pioneer Progressive Alliance (PPP Alliance), Anjum Nisar, commended LCCI Secretary and Election Commissioner Nasrullah Mughal for supervising the vote recount with transparency and professionalism. Addressing a press conference, Nisar expressed full confidence in the transparent process, stating that the Election Commission remains neutral and committed to conducting elections impartially.

He criticized the opposing PIAF Founders Alliance for their actions on polling day, revealing that their agents, including Shehzad Azam, left the counting process midway despite being urged to stay. “They made excuses and walked out during the vote count,” Nisar stated.
Nisar further elaborated that the recount was conducted under the directives of the Director General of Trade Organizations (DGTO), ensuring all ballot papers bore three valid signatures. “Except for a few discrepancies, the majority of votes were verified as valid. The PPP Alliance has achieved a decisive victory,” he said, congratulating the alliance and its supporters.
The PPP Alliance’s win marks a visible achievement, reflecting their growing influence within the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
