LAHORE: In line with ongoing health welfare initiatives directed by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the Punjab Police partnered with Mughal Eye Hospital to host an eye medical camp at the Central Police Office. A large number of police personnel received eye examinations, underwent various tests, and were provided medications by specialized doctors.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, accompanied by Dr. Colonel (Retd.) Mian Muhammad Asad, CEO of Mughal Eye Hospital, visited the camp to observe the procedures and discuss treatments with Professor Dr. Rehan Mohiuddin Sheikh and Dr. Muhammad Jameel. DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin and the medical team briefed the IG Punjab about the services offered at the camp.
Dr. Usman Anwar highlighted the multiple MOUs signed with various organizations aimed at enhancing police health services, including regular medical and blood donation camps. He emphasized that today’s camp was instrumental in raising awareness about common eye issues and their treatment. He also expressed appreciation for Mughal Eye Hospital’s support, calling it highly commendable.
Dr. Colonel (Retd.) Mian Muhammad Asad acknowledged the dedication of police personnel in protecting citizens and assured that their collaboration with Punjab Police would continue to grow.
At the conclusion of the camp, Dr. Usman Anwar presented Dr. Colonel (Retd.) Mian Muhammad Asad with a copy of Thanay Punjab De, a book on the upgradation of police stations, and awarded appreciation letters to the attending doctors and medical staff.
