Islamabad (Web Desk) – Popular TikToker Mr Patlu has received major relief from the Islamabad High Court (IHC), which granted him protective bail in connection with the deadly stampede at his pre-wedding mehndi ceremony.
IHC Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar approved the bail and directed Mr Patlu to appear before the relevant court by November 10.
The TikToker appeared before the court in a wheelchair, accompanied by his lawyer, Barrister Qasim Nawaz.
During the hearing, his counsel argued that a formal no-objection certificate (NOC) had been obtained for the mehndi ceremony. He maintained that ensuring law and order was the responsibility of the administration.
The lawyer further told the court that Mr Patlu was not present at the scene when the incident occurred, as he was undergoing treatment at a hospital.
He also expressed concerns that his client could face a potential police encounter involving the Crime Control Department (CCD).
The protective bail provides temporary legal relief to Mr Patlu, who has been facing legal proceedings following the stampede that claimed four lives and injured 14 others.
