LAHORE: Renowned businessman and newly elected Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Executive Committee member Mardan Ali Zaidi, along with his sons Yasoob Raza Zaidi and Hassan Raza Zaidi, congratulated newly elected LCCI President Ali Hussam Asghar on his election.

Mardan Ali Zaidi and his sons met Ali Hussam Asghar and conveyed their warm felicitations on his successful election as president of the premier business body of Lahore. They expressed confidence that the new leadership would work effectively to strengthen the business community and address the challenges being faced by traders and industrialists.
Speaking on the occasion, Mardan Ali Zaidi said the election of Ali Hussam Asghar reflected the confidence of the business community in his leadership and vision. He hoped that the newly elected office-bearers would make concerted efforts to facilitate businesses and promote a favourable environment for trade and investment.
He said the LCCI had an important role in highlighting the concerns of the private sector before the government and relevant institutions. Effective coordination between the business community and government departments was essential to resolving issues related to taxation, energy, exports, industrial growth and ease of doing business, he added.
Mardan Ali Zaidi said the new LCCI leadership should continue maintaining close contact with traders, manufacturers, exporters and other stakeholders so that their genuine problems could be identified and taken up with the concerned authorities.
Yasoob Raza Zaidi and Hassan Raza Zaidi also congratulated Ali Hussam Asghar and expressed their best wishes for his tenure. They said the business community expected the new LCCI leadership to adopt a practical and result-oriented approach towards resolving its problems.
Ali Hussam Asghar thanked Mardan Ali Zaidi and his sons for their felicitations and good wishes. He said the LCCI would remain committed to serving the business community and providing an effective platform for resolving their issues.
The newly elected president has already emphasised the need for timely resolution of business community complaints and greater engagement with members. The LCCI leadership is expected to focus on strengthening its liaison with government departments and improving support services for the business community.
