RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) -Dr. Alamdar Hussain Malik, Advisor Academics, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Swat and Former Secretary/Registrar, Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC), has been honoured with the prestigious Gold Medal of Excellence at the Pakistan Agro Award 2026 in recognition of his long-standing services and contributions to veterinary education, the veterinary profession, livestock development and the agricultural sector of Pakistan.
The prestigious award was presented to Dr. Malik by Malik Rashid Ahmed Khan, Minister of State for National Food Security and Research, at a distinguished ceremony held at the Punjab Arts Council Auditorium, Rawalpindi.
The recognition acknowledges Dr. Malik’s decades-long professional association with veterinary education, the veterinary profession, livestock development and the broader agricultural sector of Pakistan. During his professional career, he has served in various important positions and remained associated with initiatives aimed at strengthening veterinary institutions, professional regulation, livestock development and agricultural advancement.
Expressing his gratitude for the honour, Dr. Malik thanked the Management Committee of the Pakistan Agro Award 2026 for recognizing his services and selecting him for the prestigious award. He said the recognition was a matter of great honour and humility and reflected the collective contribution of the teachers, colleagues, students and professional associates who had been part of his professional journey.
Dr. Malik said he accepted the Gold Medal with humility and gratitude and considered it not merely a personal honour but also a tribute to all those who had supported and contributed to his professional career.
He reaffirmed his commitment to continue contributing to the advancement of veterinary education, the veterinary profession, livestock development and the agricultural sector of Pakistan.
