ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan claimed the Central Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship title for the third time after defeating Bangladesh in straight sets in the final on Wednesday.
The national team produced a commanding display to register a 3-0 victory, winning the match 25-20, 25-16 and 25-20 to lift the championship trophy.
Pakistan remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, winning every match and underlining its dominance in the regional competition.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the national volleyball team on its title-winning performance, saying the victory over Bangladesh in the final was a proud moment for the entire nation.
He commended the players, coaches and team management for their outstanding performance, saying the team had demonstrated exceptional skill, discipline and teamwork while bringing honour to Pakistan.
The prime minister said Pakistan’s talented young athletes have the potential to excel on the international stage and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting sports and supporting emerging talent across the country.
He also expressed his best wishes for the national volleyball team’s continued success in future international competitions.
