The alliance between PBG and PIAF Mian Shafqat Group is being viewed as an important move aimed at strengthening representation of the business community at the Lahore Chamber platform.

Speaking on the occasion, business leaders expressed confidence in Ali Hussam Asghar’s leadership qualities and his ability to represent the concerns of traders, industrialists and exporters effectively.

They highlighted the need for strong coordination among business groups to address key challenges faced by the private sector, including rising operational costs, energy issues, taxation matters and difficulties in trade and industry growth.

Ali Hussam Asghar thanked the PIAF Mian Shafqat Group for extending support and said that cooperation among business groups would help build a stronger voice for the business community.

He said the focus would remain on promoting business-friendly policies, improving the working environment for entrepreneurs and ensuring that the Lahore business community receives effective representation.

The announcement comes at a time when political activity among business groups has intensified ahead of the LCCI elections, where different panels are preparing strategies to secure support from traders and industrialists.

The Lahore Chamber elections are considered among the most influential business elections in Pakistan, as the elected leadership plays a key role in highlighting private sector issues before government institutions and policymakers.

The PBG-PIAF alliance is expected to reshape the election dynamics by bringing together experienced business leaders and strengthening Ali Hussam Asghar’s position among the business community.
