LAHORE: Chaudhary Iftikhar Ahmed has expressed grave concern over the government ‘s decision to impose withholding tax on flour Mills, wholesalers and retailers.
The tax rates range from 0.10 per cent to 5.5 per cent and it will directly impact the consumers.
A 20kg bag of flour is expected to increase by Rs 106, while fine flour prices will rise by Rs 460 per bag.
Ahmed has appealed to the government to reconsider the decision , citing the burden it will place on small businesses and consumers.[:]
