LAHORE: Under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Police is providing justice and modern licensing facilities at citizens’ doorsteps through Mobile Police Stations and Mobile Licensing Units. Since their launch in November 2025, these services have been operational in 27 districts, benefiting more than 337,000 citizens over the past seven months.
According to the spokesperson, the Mobile Licensing Units have issued over 137,000 learner driving licences, 166,000 fresh regular driving licences, and renewed more than 77,000 driving licences. In addition, Pink Licensing Units, operating in six major cities including Lahore, have provided licensing services to over 70,000 women.
Furthermore, Mobile Police Stations have delivered more than 9,000 police services, issued over 7,000 character certificates, resolved 630 public complaints, and facilitated the registration of more than 100 FIRs.
DIG Traffic Punjab Muhammad Waqas Nazir stated that the provision of transparent, modern, and easily accessible justice and licensing services across the province—particularly in rural areas and public institutions—continues in line with the vision of the Government of Punjab.
