LAHORE: Iqbal Academy Pakistan and Government APWA College for Women jointly organized a seminar on “Maarka-e-Haq, Operation Bunyan-e-Marsoos, and Yaum-e-Takbeer” at the college’s main hall.
The seminar was presided over by Special Secretary Higher Education Punjab Tajammul Abbas Rana, while Professor Dr. Syed Ansar Azhar, DPI Colleges Punjab, attended as the chief guest.
Principal Dr. Naimah Khurshid delivered the welcome address, while the vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafique (Sitara-e-Imtiaz), Director of Iqbal Academy Pakistan.
Among the keynote speakers were Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Anwar Mahmood Khan, Brigadier (Retd.) Dr. Waheed-uz-Zaman Tariq, Air Commodore (Retd.) Khalid Chishti, and Dr. Muhammad Nasir, Chairman of the Persian Department.
During the seminar, Air Commodore (Retd.) Khalid Chishti delivered a detailed presentation on “Operation Bunyan-e-Marsoos,” highlighting its military and strategic dimensions through specialized slides. He praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Air Force and explained the strategic measures adopted to counter adversarial plans.
The speakers said the philosophy of Khudi presented by Allama Muhammad Iqbal has always inspired the nation’s martyrs, Ghazis, and veterans. They noted that May 28, observed as Yaum-e-Takbeer, symbolizes Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to sovereignty and national dignity despite global pressure.
The participants urged the youth to embrace Iqbal’s vision of the Shaheen and contribute positively towards national development and defense. They emphasized that the spirit of Bunyan-e-Marsoos demonstrates that strong ideology and determination can overcome material limitations.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafique reiterated the academy’s commitment to promoting Allama Iqbal’s message among the younger generation through collaboration with educational institutions across the country.
