Shilpa Shetty kundra to celebrate motherhood and gen z spark in new comedy cooking series ‘maa hai na’

Entertainment Desk:-
In an era where digital trends often clash with age-old traditions, ZEE5 has announced a refreshing new non-fiction series that seeks to find common ground over a hot stove.

Titled **Maa Hai Na**, the show was officially unveiled on Mother’s Day, positioning itself as a heartfelt yet hilarious exploration of the bond between prominent mothers and their Gen Z children.

Leading the charge is Shilpa Shetty Kundra, whose own expertise in the culinary and wellness space makes her the ideal moderator for this generational

A Recipe for Comedy and Connection
Produced by Lil Frodo Productions House, the 10-episode series moves away from the high-pressure environment of professional cooking contests, opting instead for a “comedy-cooking” format.

The premise is simple but resonant: six pairs of celebrities and their children must navigate various culinary challenges that test their patience, their teamwork, and their taste buds.

The show highlights the inevitable friction that occurs when the fast-paced, “hacks-driven” lifestyle of Gen Z meets the intuitive, methodical wisdom of a mother’s kitchen.

Who’s Entering the Kitchen?
The show features a diverse ensemble of participants, blending the worlds of mainstream television with the booming creator economy:

The Bollywood Contingent: Sunita Ahuja, wife of legendary actor Govinda, will step into the spotlight alongside her daughter, Tina Ahuja.

Television Icons:
Urvashi Dholakia, a household name for her iconic screen roles, will be paired with her son, Kshitij Dholakia.

The Reality & Digital Wave
: Bigg Boss 19 alumna Tanya Mittal joins her mother, Sunita Mittal. They are joined by content creator Gullu and her mother Munesh Tanwar, food influencer Shahida Ansari with her nephew Afghan Ansari, and digital personality Bhagyashree Sharma with her mother Rinju Sharma.

More Than Just Food
While the kitchen serves as the primary setting, the true ingredients of “Maa Hai Na” are the unscripted conversations and emotional breakthroughs that occur during the heat of competition. Shilpa Shetty Kundra will guide these families through tasks that force them to reconcile their differences, whether it’s debating traditional spice blends or modern plating techniques.

Ultimately, the series aims to be a celebration of maternal resilience and the evolving nature of family dynamics in modern India. By combining humor with wholesome storytelling, ZEE5 looks to offer a “soul-food” experience that resonates with viewers of all ages.
