LAHORE: Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif called on Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan at the Assembly Chamber to offer condolences on the demise of his sister.

During the meeting, the federal minister expressed profound grief and sorrow over the passing of the deceased and extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family. He offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed that Almighty Allah may grant her the highest place in Jannah and bless the family with patience and strength (Sabr-e-Jameel) in this difficult time.
Khawaja Asif remarked that the loss of a loved one is an irreplaceable void and prayed that the family finds courage to bear this loss with dignity. He also paid tribute to the late soul, describing her as a respected individual whose passing is deeply mourned.
On the occasion, several members of the provincial assembly and senior officials were also present, including Malik Ahmad Saeed Khan, Rana Muhammad Fayyaz, Rana Arshad, Secretary General Chaudhry Amer Habib, Principal Secretary to the Speaker Amad Hussain Bhalli, Javed Iqbal and Malik Muhammad Ali, who joined in offering prayers for the departed.
Meanwhile, Head of the British High Commission in Lahore, Ben Warrington, also visited the Speaker to convey condolences. He expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss and extended sympathies on behalf of the British High Commission.
Ben Warrington offered prayers for the departed soul and conveyed his solidarity with the grieving family during this time of sorrow. He emphasized the importance of standing together in moments of loss and expressed hope that the family would find strength and comfort.
On this occasion, Members of the Provincial Assembly Malik Ahmad Saeed Khan and Rana Abdul Mannan Sajid were also present, along with Senior Political Adviser of the British High Commission Syed Owais Shah.
The condolence meetings reflected solidarity across political and diplomatic circles, highlighting shared respect and support for the Speaker and his family in their time of grief.
