LAHORE: The Punjab Cabinet has approved legal action against The PTI founder and other leaders for hateful narratives against state institutions. The Home Department has submitted an inquiry stating that PTI members are spreading mischief from inside and outside the jail. The Governor Punjab should first read the defamation law and then comment.
These views were expressed by Provincial Information Minister Punjab Azma Bukhari in a press conference at DGPR.
She said that it is PTI’s propaganda that Imran Khan is not allowed to meet anyone.
Hatred is spread on social media under systematic propaganda, she said.
A TV journalist has complained that no one is allowed to meet the guests of Adiala Jail who cost the government lakhs of rupees whenever there is an appearance or someone comes for a meeting.
“Imran Khan writes a letter to the IMF, he makes people from his party protest outside the office of the IMF not to give loans to Pakistan. He also wrote poisonous column for the Daily Telegraph, which said that he and his wife would be killed or poisoned,” she said.
“Spreading hatred against institutions is the tradition of this party. Imran Khan is trying to become Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with the name of 1971,” she said.
She further said that Pakistan’ s economy is improving, inflation is coming under control and the people are benefiting.
The eighth meeting of the provincial cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, in which many development works were approved for the development and prosperity of Punjab. The cabinet paid tribute to Maryam Nawaz for reduction.
