According to the Lahore Police spokesperson, the joint operations led to the recovery of 26 lions, 14 deer and birds of various species from the suspects. The recovered animals were handed over to the Punjab Wildlife Department.

Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana said that a zero-tolerance policy was being enforced against violations of wildlife laws. He warned that keeping protected animals in residential localities posed a serious threat to human life.

The CCPO added that legal action will be taken against those involved, while full cooperation was being extended to the Wildlife Department to ensure public safety and prevent illegal wildlife activities.
