LAHORE: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Lahore President, Faisal Mir, has announced that the party will demonstrate its political strength through a major rally scheduled for February 1 in Lahore, being organized in connection with Kashmir Day. Speaking at a workers’ gathering in the PP-169 constituency, Mir expressed confidence that the upcoming event will highlight the party’s continued influence in Punjab, particularly in the provincial capital.

In his address, Faisal Mir emphasized the PPP’s commitment to grassroots reorganization and strengthening the party’s infrastructure at the constituency and neighborhood levels. He announced plans to establish and activate allied wings across PP-169, ensuring that office bearers are appointed strictly on merit rather than favoritism.

The PPP Lahore president also underscored the importance of youth empowerment within the party, stating that emerging leaders would be given opportunities to demonstrate their abilities and play a meaningful role in shaping the party’s future.

The announcement reflects the PPP’s renewed efforts to revitalize its presence in Punjab, a region traditionally viewed as a challenging political landscape for the party. By linking the rally with Kashmir Day and focusing on organizational reforms at the grassroots level, the party leadership aims to strengthen its traditional support base while attracting new followers in Lahore and beyond.
