LAHORE, December 26 — A shocking incident unfolded in Shahdara where a 6-year-old girl, Kunza-ul-Iman, was brutally murdered by her step-mother. According to police, the suspect subjected the child to severe torture, resulting in her death.

DIG Investigation Lahore Syed Zeeshan Raza took notice of the tragic murder, directing immediate action. In-charge Investigation Shahdara, Rana Umar Daraz, along with his team, carried out the successful operation leading to the arrest of the accused.
SP Investigation Farhat Abbas stated that after committing the crime, the accused fled the scene, but was traced and detained using information analysis and human intelligence.
SP City Investigation said that the complainant, Syed Abid Hussain, had divorced his first wife and was reportedly with her around 3 pm at the time of the incident.
DIG Zeeshan Raza said further legal action has commenced, and a strong challan will be prepared to ensure exemplary punishment. He reiterated that criminal elements will be dealt with an iron hand. He also announced appreciation certificates for the police team involved in the arrest.
