LAHORE — Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the only women’s university in Pakistan to be included in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026.

THE is a globally trusted platform that ranks higher education institutions based on performance indicators related to teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.
This year, 48 Pakistani universities made it to the global rankings. Among them, LCWU earned a prominent distinction by being the sole women’s university from Pakistan to secure a place on the list.
Situated in the heart of Lahore, LCWU has also shown significant improvement, advancing from the 1500+ category last year to the 1200–1500 band in the latest rankings — a testament to its academic progress and commitment to excellence in women’s education.
