ISLAMABAD (Monitoring Desk)–In a major political development, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has reportedly ordered the removal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur from his position, citing the deteriorating law and order situation in the province.

According to Rai Salman, focal person to Bushra Bibi, the PTI founder issued the directive himself. “Yes, the founder of PTI has ordered the removal of Ali Amin Gandapur from the post of Chief Minister,” Rai Salman confirmed while speaking to media representatives.
Meanwhile, Ali Amin Gandapur, responding to reports about his removal, said that he had not yet been formally informed of any such decision. “The position is a trust of the party leadership. Whenever they ask me to leave, I will do so,” he said, adding that consultations are currently underway with the PTI founder at Adiala Jail.
Prominent lawyer and PTI leader Salman Akram Raja also confirmed the development, stating that the decision to replace the Chief Minister was made by Imran Khan himself. “The worsening terrorism situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa left the party leadership with no other option,” Raja told media.
Sources within the party suggest that a new candidate for the KP Chief Minister’s position is likely to be announced soon, following the founder’s consultations with senior leadership.
The reported move comes amid growing criticism over the provincial government’s handling of security challenges, particularly the resurgence of militant attacks in several KP districts.
While official notification of Gandapur’s removal has not yet been issued, the development has sparked intense political discussions within PTI ranks and among coalition partners.
