KARACHI: The Honorary Consul General of Zimbabwe in Pakistan, Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir, has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the widespread devastation caused by the recent heavy rains across Pakistan, which have tragically resulted in the loss of precious lives and widespread destruction of property and infrastructure.

In his statement, Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir extended heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and offered prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured. He noted that the intensity of these rains highlights the urgent need for enhanced disaster preparedness, infrastructure resilience, and coordinated relief efforts.
Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir reaffirmed his solidarity with the people of Pakistan in this difficult time, recognizing their resilience and strength in the face of natural calamities. He also emphasized the importance of collective action by government institutions, private sector, and civil society to support the victims and rebuild affected areas.
“The people of Zimbabwe stand in full sympathy with our brothers and sisters in Pakistan,” Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir said. “We pray for peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.”
