LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, has taken serious notice of the abduction of three members of the Hindu community at gunpoint in the Nawazabad area of Rahim Yar Khan. The Minister directed the District Police Officer (DPO) Rahim Yar Khan to ensure the immediate and safe recovery of the abductees.

He stated that the protection of life and property of minority communities is among the top priorities of the Punjab government, and under no circumstances will minorities be left unprotected or alone.
According to initial reports, the abducted individuals have been identified as Ranjha Thori, Kanhaiya Lal, and Ramesh Thori. The affected family reported that the three were forcibly taken towards the riverine (katcha) area by armed assailants.
Minister Arora instructed the DPO to provide full security to the affected family and ensure the early arrest of the perpetrators involved in this tragic incident.
DPO Rahim Yar Khan, Irfan Sammo, briefed the Minister and assured that all efforts are being made to recover the abductees safely. According to the DPO, a heavy police contingent led by DSP Bhong has already been dispatched towards the katcha area. All entry and exit points to the region have been sealed, and a full-scale search operation is underway.
The DPO further assured the Minister that the abductees will be recovered soon and that those responsible for this heinous act will be brought to justice.
