LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, has expressed deep sorrow and concern over the tragic loss of lives, injuries, and the disappearance of several tourists following a sudden flash flood on the Babusar Road in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Calling the incident a national tragedy, the minister extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for strength and patience for the bereaved. He also conveyed his best wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Ramesh Singh Arora commended the ongoing rescue operations for locating the missing individuals and evacuating stranded tourists to safer locations. However, he emphasized the need to enhance and expedite relief efforts to prevent any further loss of life.
The provincial minister voiced concern over the disruption of communication networks due to heavy rains and flooding, which has severed contact between thousands of tourists and their loved ones. He urged the relevant federal and regional authorities to mobilize all available resources to provide immediate relief to those affected.
