Husband arrested for acid Attack on wife in Lahore’s Sherakot area

LAHORE – A man who brutally threw acid on his wife’s face and body in Sherakot, Lahore, has been arrested by the police, following swift action taken by the Investigation Wing.
DIG Investigation Lahore, Syed Zeeshan Raza, took immediate notice of the heinous crime and issued strict orders for the arrest of the accused. Acting on these directives, Incharge Investigation Sherakot, Safdar Pervaiz, along with his police team, conducted a successful operation and apprehended the suspect.
According to SP Investigation Iqbal Town, the accused had severely injured his wife in the acid attack a few days ago. SP Sidra Khan revealed that the couple had been facing domestic disputes for the past six to seven months. After committing the crime, the suspect had fled the scene and was in hiding.
The police utilized modern technology and human intelligence to trace and capture the accused, SP Iqbal Town added.
DIG Syed Zeeshan Raza confirmed that the suspect is now in custody and will be brought to justice through a strong and well-prepared challan. He emphasized that those who perpetrate violence and harassment against women do not deserve any leniency.
“We will deal with criminals with an iron hand,” DIG Raza asserted.
Furthermore, SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed has announced commendation certificates for the police team in recognition of their swift and effective action.
