In a crucial development in the investigation of actress Humaira Asghar’s death mystery, authorities have extracted data from her five electronic devices – three mobile phones, one laptop and one tablet.
SSP South Mahzoor Ali has constituted a specialized team, headed by SP Clifton Imran Ali Jagrani, to probe the case. The six-member committee is tasked with ascertaining whether Humaira Asghar’s death was due to natural causes, an accident, homicide, or suicide, as outlined in the official notification.
The investigative unit has accessed three mobile phones, a tablet, and a laptop owned by Humaira, with passwords retrieved from her diary.
Police are meticulously examining the data and conversations from the actress’s mobile devices, intensifying efforts to uncover additional evidence. Statements from two individuals have already been documented.
The authorities have also summoned the security guard of the residential complex, cleaning personnel, and other pertinent individuals for questioning.
Investigators disclosed that Humaira Asghar frequently visited a gym and beauty parlor, and they plan to gather details from her gym trainer and other associated persons.
Further, the police revealed that the deceased actress was in regular communication with certain individuals, and efforts are underway to collect information about these contacts. Her bank accounts are also being investigated to identify any questionable transactions or financial activities.
In another important development, Humaira Asghar’s family has not yet reached out to the police to pursue legal action.
