Umar Hayat, a 22-year-old, admitted to murdering 17-year-old social media star Sana Yousuf during a hearing before Judicial Magistrate Saad Nazir.
In a confession recorded under Section 164 of the Pakistan Penal Code, Hayat revealed that his actions stemmed from anger and a desire for vengeance after Yousuf repeatedly declined to meet him.

Media reports indicate that Hayat visited Yousuf’s residence hoping to meet her but was turned away after waiting all day. He also claimed to have brought a birthday gift for her, which she rejected.
On June 2, after Yousuf invited him for another meeting that fell through, Hayat’s frustration took the better of him. In a rage, he forced his way into her home and fatally shot her twice in the chest, killing her instantly.
The painful incident took place on June 2 and it sparked widespread grief and anger on social media, where Yousuf had a significant following.
Her fans expressed deep sympathies and outrage over the tragic loss.
